DESIGN FOR PRINT

My experience has come from apprenticeships and decades of hands-on experience in pre-press and production. I am able to create or modify existing files to ensure flawless print compatibility by checking color specifications, bleed, proper resolution, size and layout. In a nutshell, my graphic design files will print flawlessly!

I am extremely comfortable with offset, digital, screenprinting, embroidery and large format printing. Whatever size file you need, it WILL print!

PRODUCTION/PREPRESS

I can perform with excellence pre-press responsibilities to include scaling, cropping, retouching, repositioning, pre-flighting, optimizing and packaging final files and preparing for print, distribution and archival.

I'm an expert at improving & modifying files and formats to increase quality of production and ensure standards are met.

I can write print specifications for print projects in my sleep!

I'm OCD about the accuracy of any file I touch. This includes: checking proper font, color, logo and tagline usage. Double checking brand standard guidelines. Checking typographic elements for optimal aesthetic value – employing appropriate kerning, tracking and word spacing; adjusting ragged copy, excess hyphenation, bad spacing, widows & orphans; proper set up of hanging indents, columns, paragraph spacing, soft returns and use of styles and master page elements.

I can manage my workload effectively, assuming responsibility for a high volume of production work and revisions in a timely manner.

I'm a people person! I am able to communicate with clients, designers and creative management on a regular basis to apprise them of project statuses, make recommendations and otherwise present work/findings.

ONLINE DESIGN

I am an expert with setting up social media files across any platform. I adhere to sizing and file size guidelines along each to maximize load time. I am able to photo manipulate any idea that you have and photo-correct to enhance features.
